The Wawel Castle

On the Wawel Hill there are memorabilia of the beginnings of the Polish state because the Wawel Castle is a huge part of the history of the nation. The importance of this place is proven not only by historical events but also by its amazing and dignified architecture, which shows the skill of medieval architects. Many kings of Poland, Marshall Józef Piłsudski, and Polish national hero Tadeusz Kościuszko found their final resting place in the Wawel Castle’s Cathedral.

Morskie Oko

Morskie Oko is the largest lake in the Tatra Mountains, located at an altitude of 1,395 m above sea level. You can reach the Morskie Oko Lake by foot – the trail is about 8 km long (hiking time is 2 hours 25 minutes). Morskie Oko itself makes a very big impression, also on children – it’s a truly stunning lake. A must-see place in the Tatra Mountains.

Krakow Main Square

The largest and definitely one of the most beautiful in Europe. Designated in the 13th century on an area of 4 hectares, surrounded by charming tenement houses and the majestic St. Mary’s Basilica, it is a place where the city’s cultural life has been focused for centuries. It is here that you can admire the gems of historical architecture, meet a friendly Lajkonik or listen to the famous bugle call.

Kasprowy Wierch

Alongside Mount Giewont (the landmark of the area) Mount Kasprowy Wierch is one of the most recognizable mountains in the Tatra Mountains. Located on the border of the High Tatras and Western Tatras, this peak offers unforgettable landscapes that can be endlessly admired. From an elevation of almost 2000 meters above sea level, there is a magnificent panorama of the gentler slopes of the Red Peaks and the much sharper peaks of the High Tatras (including Mt. Świnica and Mt. Orla Perć). You can reach the summit by a cable car, which is available all year round.

A day in Slovakia: A Walk Above the Trees & Lake Strbske Pleso

Enjoy a walk above the trees… along a special dedicated platform high above the ground. Along the way there are many photo ops and chances to admire spectacular views of the Slovakian Tatra Mountains. After the walk, climb a tall tower for a more extreme experience. Will you dare step on the net on top of the tower? Only a few do. Or slide down the tube to the bottom of the structure. For those oriented on admiring the views, the Strbske Pleso Lake will be the best opportunity to get what they truly came for. Bring a camera as you will want to use it. The trip takes around 9 hours.

Sleigh Ride with torches + no limit catering + live music from a highlander band

If it’s snowy and sunny – go for a day of winter fun. Take an easy sleigh ride with the highlander band and enjoy an afternoon of feasting over a bonfire. The experience feels truly local and traditional. It’s like a time travel with you in the center of the event.

Mount Kasprowy Wierch cable car ride + Zakopane

There is no other town in the Tatra Mountains located better than Zakopane. Walk the snow covered streets of Zakopane to feel the atmosphere of the highlands. The place is surrounded by the mountains which gives it an unforgettable feeling. The snow-covered mountains look different every day. Combine your experience with the cable car ride to the top of Mount Kasprowy Wierch. Wrap up well for your one-hour stay on the summit. Some of them even have a tram or a horse-drawn cart to assist you on your journey. The Tatra valleys are perfect for people of all ages. At the end of the trail there are usually mountain shelters that offer food, supplies, restrooms and a dry place to rest. If you are a skilled hiker, go for it – prepare well for the hike and climb any of the peaks you like. Most of them are accessible to everyone, only a few require the assistance of a professional licensed mountain guide.
